What is the goal?
The Timothy Project provides church members who are sensing a call to vocational ministry or to specific leadership roles in the church an opportunity to be further equipped and trained in ministry through biblical and theological education within the context of the specific DNA of Colonial Heights for the purpose of becoming ministers, missionaries, or church planters sent out or used for the sake of the nations.
Who can participate?
The Timothy Project is open, but not limited to, anyone who senses a call to vocational ministry or increased ministry leadership.
What is the scope?
The Timothy Project will provide:

Educate
Certificate Track & SEBTS Track
Certificate Track Levels
- Disciple’s Certificate: 4 practicums
- Teachers’ Certificate: 4 practicums + 2 workshops
- Ministry Leader Certificate: 8 practicums + 2 workshops
Theological Education
The Timothy Project provides theological education through The Equip Network of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
The classes are open to anyone, but seminary credit can be earned by enrolling in SEBTS and completing required assignments.

Experience
Internships: Paid & Unpaid
- Short-Term (semester or summer)
- Mentored Internship: SEBTS credit
Apprentices: Paid employment, at least 1 year
Residents: Paid employment, multiple years
