6-7 p.m. every Wednesday through Nov. 14

1st-4th Graders  Keys to the Kingdom

  • 1st-4th graders will learn foundational truths of our faith - salvation, redemmption, adoption, forgiveness, and more - through large and small group activities and ending with a fun game time.
  • 1st-4th graders will begin and end in Soul Station.

5th-6th Graders   Live Loud!

  • Preteens will learn to take a solid stand for their faith and Live Loud in school, in the world, and at home by studying apologetics.
  • Preteens will begin and end in Route 56.


Bible Skills and Drills for all 3rd-6th graders

Begins Sunday, October 7, 5-6 p.m. in Rt. 56

  • All 3-6 grade guys and girls are invited to attend this discipleschip class focusing them on how to use the Bible with confidence while learning key scriptures of our faith.
  • They will learn to locate all books of the Bible in 10 seconds or less, memorize 25 important verses, and learn to locate 10 key passages. 
  • Bible Skills and Drills ends the season with a series of drills, culminating in a state drill which will be held at our church in April 2019.

Upcoming for Preteens

PRIORITY Mini-retreat #1        Sunday, September 16, 12:15-5:45 p.m.

  • PRIORITY is a series of 4 mini-retreats followed by a celebration at the end of the year. 
  • PRIORITY is for 6th graders only. 
  • The first session is a mandatory one if your sixth grader will be a part of the others.
  • The goal of PRIORITY is to teach and practice spiritual disciplines, challenging our preteens to own their own faith.
  • The cost for each PRIORITY is $10.  It will cover lunch, snacks, and other supplies.  A signed permission form is required.
  • Please RSVP by turning in permission form with $10 or by contacting Barbara Brown.

Saturday Nite Live       Saturday, September 22, 5-8 p.m.

  • Saturday Nite Live is for all preteens and their preteen friends.
  • We will go to Primos to eat supper together and then come back to the church for dessert and devotional.
  • Kids should bring the signed permission form provided at church and enough money to cover their meal plus a tip.  (You might want to view the online menu and help them make some decisions beforehand.)
  • Meet at CH at 5:00 p.m.
  • RSVP by Wednesday, September 20.

Preteen Parent Meeting   Sunday, September 23, 4:30-5:45 p.m.

  • All parents of preteens will want to make this parent meeting a priority.  We will give you upcoming plans for preteens for this year.  Then you will hear from Lisa Lucas, who has been studying middleschoolers in her positions at Jackson Academy.  She will help you to understand their needs and what we can do to encourage them as they try to reconcile the mixed messages they live in. 
  • We will have some recommended resources for you to purchase that night.
  • Please let me know by September 16 if you will need childcare.y
