Colonial Heights and Pioneer Evangelism (PE) , an international mission organization, have partnered to provide extended training for national lay pastors who have been trained in the PE process of planting new churches in Tanzania, Africa. The pastoral training includes teaching Bible doctrine and practical aspects of personal discipleship, New Testament great commission ministry through the church, as well as pastoral care and counseling. Forty (40) pastor-trainers are trained and they in turn are training 500 new lay pastors to pastor new churches throughout the region. So far, over 275 new
churches have been planted and and as of the spring of 2016; 31,500 people have come to Christ, been baptized,
and have assimilated into the new churches.
We also send teams to conduct District Impact Meetings. They work in cities doing personal evangelism, Bible study clubs for children in schools, leading men’s and women’s Bible study conferences, leadership training, and revival worship services, in addition to conducting eye glass clinics. Our team members also focus on encouraging and nurturing national believers in their spiritual journey and helping improve their lives in practical ways as God leads.
In 2015 we will continue to
partner in providing further and ongoing training to the newly called pastors
in the Lake Zone Region of Tanzania.
